Do I have to pay for Stories Unfold?
Entry to the castle grounds is free, as are some of the activities. For activities like concerts, workshops and gastronomic events, you have to buy a ticket. The website clearly indicates which activities are for free and which aren’t.

Stories Unfold takes place from August 1 to October 29, every week from Wednesday to Sunday.

Animals are welcome if you keep them on a leash.

Yes, Stories Unfold has plenty to offer for the youngest among us. For example, we’ve got lots of children’s activities planned. Explore the program.
Is the Rubens Castle accessible for wheelchair users?
The Rubens Castle is an old site. This means that some areas can be difficult to access for people using wheelchairs. However, most activities take place in the Pavilion, where you can also find the bar, and that location is easily accessible. There is also an accessible toilet for wheelchair users. How can I reduce my carbon footprint during Stories Unfold?
You can cycle to Zemst or use public transport to get to the festival. The nearest train station is that of Eppegem; nearby bus stations are those of Eppegem Station, Vilvoorde Haesendonckstraat and Elewijt Kerk. Please respect the environment by not leaving items behind and by throwing your rubbish in the appropriate bin. We use reusable cups; head to the bar for more information.

Stories Unfold attaches great importance to sustainability. That’s why we ask you to come by foot, bike (there’s plenty of cycle parking) or by public transport. No, Stories Unfold is a public event. The activities we organize are open to everyone.

Which items are not allowed on the castle grounds?
You’re not allowed to bring your own drinks or food. (Pocket) knives and other sharp objects are not allowed either; nor are alcohol, drugs or other substances, drones, fireworks and any other item that the organization considers to be dangerous.
