This closing celebration of Stories Unfold is packed with original activities that take you back to the time of Rubens and his wife Helena. Welcome to the Rubensfest, where enchantment spreads throughout the estate! Discover magic in every corner, both inside and outside the castle, where various activities await you.

Rubens Castle and garden

In and around Rubens Castle, you can take part in various activities just as they were at Rubens' court. Put on a Baroque wig and have a portrait of yourself immortalised. For young adventurers, there is the exciting journey through the valley of the moon (De Maanvallei). They will be taken on a special adventure through a fascinating story and workshop. The evening ends here with an enchanting ritual of fire and smoke, presented by Les CreaCoeurs.

Rubens buffet

In the orchard, you can enjoy a buffet that comes straight out of a Rubens painting. Our local craftsmen and women have carefully put together a delicious range of foods.

Crafts and maker's market

Try a selection of local delicacies at our Crafts & Maker’s Market. Watch a demonstration by the knife sharpener or learn more about the healing power of plants from the healer. Our make-up artists are ready to transform kids into beautiful princesses, tough knights or even Rubens characters. Discover the creativity and craftsmanship in every corner of the market!

Dancing tent

Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes during the Rubensfest. In the Dancing tent, you can swing your hips during a lindy hop workshop, a folk dance or an introductory salsa class. Our DJ will play a disco-mix that is guaranteed to have you dancing.
